The Bitterberry Lemonade
1/4 cup raspberries
3-4 leaves fresh mint
1 T simple syrup
3 dashes bitters
4 oz bourbon
2 T fresh lemon juice
Mint, lemon, or raspberries for garnish
In a strainer, muddle raspberries, mint, simple syrup, and bitters. Add bourbon, lemon juice, and ice. Shake until chilled and strain into ice-filled glasses. Top with soda and garnish with whatever your mood dictates—fresh (mint), sour (lemon), or sweet (raspberry).
Note for sobriety seekers: This cocktail can also be made into a tasty mocktail if you eliminate the bourbon and add more soda
